AWS Direct Connect introduces inbound prefix controls and higher prefix scale
AWS Direct Connect has introduced inbound prefix controls, allowing users to allocate up to 1,000 IPv4 and IPv6 prefixes per virtual interface.

Administrators of large networks can now advertise routes directly instead of summarizing them or segmenting across multiple connections.

- Previous route prefix limits were capped at 100 for private and transit VIFs.
- Capacity pools scale based on connection speed and member connections.
- The feature is available at no additional cost in all commercial AWS Regions.
