New low-cost burstable Amazon EC2 T8i instances are generally available
AWS has released new low-cost burstable Amazon EC2 T8i instances powered by custom sixth generation Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. These instances are designed for workloads with low-to-moderate CPU utilization.
Why it matters
Users running small workloads like microservices or development environments can reduce their total cost of ownership through improved price performance.
The details
T8i instances offer four sizes: nano, micro, small, and medium. They are available in US, Asia Pacific, Canada, and Europe regions. The instances support shared tenancy only and do not support Dedicated tenancy. Network bandwidth is up to 1.25x higher compared to T3.
