The details
The project uses the Longleaf Biodiversity Impact Fund, launched in 2025. Samsung has operated a manufacturing campus in Newberry County for nearly a decade. Milliken Advisors will manage the restoration implementation and forest inventory. Private landowners own approximately 87 percent of South Carolina's forests.
