AWS announces a new Availability Zone in the Europe (London) Region
Users in London can build more resilient applications through better fault isolation. AI teams can now perform model training and inference locally using updated accelerated instances.
- AWS added eu-west-2d as the fourth Availability Zone in the Europe (London) Region (eu-west-2)
- The new zone provides expanded compute capacity including Amazon EC2, Trn3, and P6 accelerated instances for AI and ML model training and inference
- Customers can distribute applications across four Availability Zones for increased fault tolerance and high availability
- The zone is accessible via the AWS Management Console, APIs, and existing workflows with standard regional pricing
